Annual Regular Audit

The ÇOMÜ Experimental Research Application and Research Center successfully passed the audit conducted under the "Regulation on the Welfare and Protection of Animals Used for Experimental and Other Scientific Purposes," which covers the breeding, feeding, housing, and care of animals to be used for experimental and other scientific purposes; the operations and procedures of producers, suppliers, users, and authorized research organizations; the origin, reproduction, marking, care, housing, and killing of animals; the evaluation of projects related to the use of animals in procedures when necessary; the authorization of procedures; the qualifications of the personnel; the records to be kept; the species that must be produced in authorized organizations for use in procedures; determining the animal species and the principles that organizations must adhere to; and ensuring the welfare and safety of animals produced, supplied, or used in procedures. The audit was attended by Responsible Manager Veterinarian Sait ELMAS and Veterinarian Alper ÖZKAN, representing our university. During inspections conducted by Veterinarian Mehmet ULUDAĞ and Veterinarian Ömer Bilal ÖZCAN from the Çanakkale Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, and Specialist Veterinarians Zeynep KÜÇÜK BAYKAN and Gülseren YILDIZ ÖZ from the Istanbul Pendik Veterinary Control Institute, it was observed that our Center operates in accordance with the relevant regulations.
