RULES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO BE FOLLOWED BY RESEARCHERS WISHING TO STUDY AT ÇOMÜDAM

  Before starting the studies, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Experimental Research Application and Research Center (ÇOMÜDAM), Ethics committee approval and a copy of the ethics committee application form, a copy of the Experimental Animal Use Certificate of the researcher who will conduct the study, and the ÇOMÜDAM request and contract form signed by the project coordinator/project staff. must be submitted.

ÇOMÜDAM deliveries to the projects whose request and contract forms are filled, at the earliest 100 days after the Rat, Mouse, Rabbit and Guinea pig center density. (Production, planning, appointment, etc.). Workers should definitely take this into account.

Projects that do not start on the date specified in the ÇOMÜDAM request and contract form are cancelled. Animals are given to another project.

For the laboratories and rooms where the studies will be carried out, reservations must be made by phone or e-mail from the ÇOMÜDAM secretariat at least one week in advance.

When entering the center, laboratory clothes or disposable aprons, shoe covers, masks and bonnets must be worn.

Researchers should conduct experiments in accordance with ethical rules and approved project.

Experimental animal, laboratory use, animal care and veterinary consultation fees and payment method are applied as stated in the price tariff of ÇOMÜDAM throughout the year.

The researcher using the common areas (such as the kitchen, rest room, etc.) should do his own cleaning.

While transporting, the animals should be separated according to their genders, and they should be carried covered in a cage with 3-6 animals.

Camera and photo shooting etc. in the center without the permission of the management. Recording is prohibited.

Instruments and equipment in one laboratory cannot be moved to another laboratory. In case of necessity, the Responsible Manager should be notified.

The name of the researcher must be written on the chemicals and other materials to be stored in the refrigerator. Flammable, volatile, flammable etc. If chemicals are to be used, authorized personnel should be informed.

Our center does not supply consumables, except for the supply of anesthetics used for experimental animals.

At the end of their daily work, researchers should collect all waste from cadavers or animals in medical waste bags and put them in the deep freezer themselves, throw other garbage into household waste bins and leave the laboratory by cleaning the countertops.

At the end of the additional periods, if the animals are not taken without an excuse, the experimental animals are euthanized and 10.00 TL for each animal. The euthanasia fee is collected from the researcher.

In order to use the fixtures of the center, it is necessary to obtain permission and fill in the delivery form.

Eating, drinking, talking loudly, smoking, listening to loud music are strictly prohibited in the center in order to maintain animal welfare and appropriate experimental conditions.

Researchers should contact the Accountable Manager or other personnel when needed or in any unusual situation.

At the end of the studies, the ÇOMÜDAM end of project and euthanasia form must be filled out.

After the quarantine is applied to the experimental animals brought for study from outside our center, they are started to work, and the pricing is calculated during these periods.

It is obligatory for the researcher to work with the animal in the project to have an Experimental Animal Use Certificate.

When all studies conducted at the center are published or presented, they must state that the experimental animals were purchased from ÇOMÜDAM and/or the study was performed in ÇOMÜDAM, and a copy should be sent to the center at "comudamcomu.edu.tr".

Studies should be stated as follows: ''This study was conducted in Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Experimental Research Center (ÇOMÜDAM)''. ''The rats were supplied from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Experimental Research Center (ÇOMÜDAM)''.
